On June 26, 2025, Simon Porte Jacquemus chose a royal setting to unveil its new collection: the Orangerie du Château de Versailles. A place imbued with splendor, where nature, architecture and light served as the backdrop for a fashion show that was both raw and refined.
The living theater of simplicity
Broadcast live, “Le Paysan” offered much more than a fashion show: it was an open-air cinematic performance. In an almost sacred silence, sculptural silhouettes crossed the long perspectives of the French garden.
Structured garments, earthy tones and clean lines composed an ode to chic rurality, the signature of Jacquemus as poetic and audacious as ever.
Between heritage and modernity
If Versailles evokes monarchical grandeur, Jacquemus has breathed a breath of contemporary freshness into it. Without losing sight of his Provencal roots, the designer sublimated nature and movement. Every step on the catwalk seemed to tell a story – that of a reinvented peasant world, noble and powerful, in a setting charged with memory.
Total immersion in the Jacquemus universe
The fashion show was as much a visual experience as a tribute to slowness, to elegance without artifice. Few guests, lots of emotion: “Le Paysan” wasn’t about making noise, but capturing a suspended moment – like a tableau vivant in the heart of French heritage.
