Paris regains its lustre at the heart of the Grand Palais. After several years of renovation, this emblematic site of French culture unveils a new page in its history, written at table.
Two exceptional brands mark this reopening: Le Grand Café, spectacula brasserie orchestrated by the Loulou Group, and Réséda Café, the creation of Michelin-starred chef Thierry Marx, whose official opening is scheduled for June 10, 2025.
Le Grand Café, a monumental brasserie in a glass case
Located in the Rotonde Clemenceau, Le Grand Café has already established itself as one of the finest gastronomic openings in Paris this year. The Loulou Group infuses its Parisian art de vivre into this 310-cover space, including a sublime green terrace overlooking the Champs-Élysées gardens.
Exceptional decor by Joseph Dirand
Beveled mirrors, textured marbles, glossy lacquers and deep velvets: the interior designed by architect Joseph Dirand evokes the Belle Époque with a resolutely contemporary touch. Thierry Boutemy designed the terrace as a suspended garden.
An elegant, easy-to-understand menu
Under the direction of chef Benoît Dargère, the cuisine pays homage to French classics with modern, meticulous execution:
– poutargue and mimosa eggs with anchovies
– Thin tomato tart with old-fashioned mustard
– Cod fillet with morels and asparagus
Cocktails are by Colin Field, former head bartender at the Ritz, for a mixology experience worthy of the place.
Ideal for a business lunch or dinner with music
Le Grand Café offers evening jazz concerts in a hushed, elegant atmosphere. An ideal setting for business meetings, press lunches or discreet networking dinners.
Réséda Café – Thierry Marx reinvents the gourmet break
From June 10, 2025, the Grand Palais will also play host to Réséda Café, an innovative concept spearheaded by Thierry Marx. Conceived as a responsible and accessible dining venue, it will be located on the mezzanine floor, with a breathtaking view over the central square of the Palais.
Committed, accessible cuisine
From breakfast to afternoon tea, Réséda offers :
– Hot drinks, fresh snacks, freshly squeezed fruit juices
– Homemade dishes based on local produce
– A short menu, designed to accompany each moment of the day
All in a warm, uncluttered atmosphere, in keeping with the sustainable culinary philosophy that Thierry Marx has always defended.
Why these two addresses are becoming the new benchmarks for professionals
Between heritage and innovation,Le Grand Café and Réséda Café embody two complementary approaches to dining in Paris.
One is spectacular and event-driven, the other intimate and committed. Both are perfectly suited to a professional clientele in search of experience, refinement and meaning.
