For over fifty years, the Speedmaster has embodied the epic of space and horological mastery. In 2025, OMEGA continues this legend with an exceptional creation: the Speedmaster Moonphase Meteorite, a watch which literally captures fragments of the universe and brings them to life on the wrist.
A material from the stars
Available in two 43 mm stainless steel versions, this Speedmaster is distinguished by a dial cut from a singularly patterned ferrous meteorite, sublimated by a black or grey galvanic PVD treatment. Each piece is a unique work of art, shaped by space.
But OMEGA goes even further: the moon phase indicator at 6 o’clock features two rotating moons made of real lunar meteorite fragments.
These sparkling cabochons reflect the light variations of the northern and southern hemispheres. And for purists? The starry sky in the background faithfully reproduces the celestial configuration observed from Biel on the evening of the first step on the Moon in 1969.
Mechanical innovation and space heritage
Inside, the hand-wound Co-Axial Master Chronometer 9914 caliber beats. Visible through a sapphire crystal caseback, this exceptional movement combines high-end finishing with extreme magnetic resistance (up to 15,000 gauss), certified by METAS.
Technical details include 60-minute and 12-hour counters at 3 o’clock, small seconds and date at 9 o’clock, and 18K white or white gold hands, depending on the model. The versions are also distinguished by their bezels: black or blue ceramic, with white enamel tachometric scale.
Universal elegance
Both models feature a polished and satin-finished steel bracelet equipped with OMEGA’s patented comfort system. A finish designed for absolute comfort, worthy of a watch inspired by the stars.
