The Swedish brand Polestar continues to redefine the codes of electric luxury with the highly anticipated release of the Polestar 5, unveiled in a world premiere at the IAA Mobility 2025 show. This new
fully electric grand touring coupe combines avant-garde design, impressive power, and cutting-edge technology to deliver a driving experience that is sporty, refined, and sustainable.
A design inspired by the Precept concept
The Polestar 5 is the realization of the Precept concept, symbolizing the brand’s ecological and stylistic ambition. Its sleek, sculpted, and minimalist design embodies the future of electric grand touring:
- A fluid, aerodynamic silhouette with no superfluous lines,
- Muscular proportions, a long hood, and a pronounced fastback profile,
- Redesigned “Thor Hammer” front optics and a signature Polestar rear light strip.
Every detail has been designed to optimize aerodynamic efficiency and offer a resolutely modern look.
Performance and power: a GT without compromise
Under the hood, the Polestar 5 makes no compromises. Equipped with a twin-motor powertrain, it develops up to 650 hp (485 kW) and 740 Nm of torque, enabling it to go from 0 to 100 km/h in less than 3.2 seconds.
Thanks to its bonded aluminum platform, the car offers exceptional rigidity while remaining lightweight, ensuring agile and precise handling—on par with the best combustion-engine GTs.
The announced range is around 600 km WLTP, with ultra-fast charging (800 V architecture) allowing 80% of energy to be recovered in less than 25 minutes at a compatible charging station.
Interior: durability and immersive technology
Inside, Polestar continues to pursue its vision of responsible luxury:
- Seats and upholstery made from recycled and plant-based materials (flax, PET, ECONYL®).
- A minimalist interior inspired by Scandinavian design, bathed in natural light.
- A large vertical center display running Android Automotive OS, compatible with Google Assistant and wireless Apple CarPlay.
