See the map | ItineraryLe Bouillon Chartier Grands Boulevards, an iconic place of friendliness and tradition, has been welcoming visitors for over 120 years.
Opened in 1896, this historic establishment is the oldest of the famous Bouillons Chartier family. With its vast, light-filled dining room thanks to large skylights, its hanging chandeliers, and its carved woodwork, the place enchants with its warm yet refined atmosphere. The sparkling brass accents add a touch of splendor to this space, which has been classified as a historic monument since 1989.
The décor, a witness to history, holds a few surprises, such as the painting by artist Germont, created in 1929 to settle his debts and pay for his meals. Every corner of Bouillon Chartier Grands Boulevards tells a story—a culinary and human adventure that has endured through the decades.
The establishment is committed to offering a meal worthy of the name at an affordable price. With starters from €1, main courses at €7, and desserts or ice cream starting at €2, Bouillon Chartier stays true to its motto: providing a good meal in Paris for less than €20, regardless of the circumstances.
A true temple of accessible gastronomy, where tradition meets simplicity and generosity.
