Right on the beach in Saint Jean is where the “Bohemian Beach Club,” as imagined by the Sibuet family Pascal Ramette, has cast its anchor. It embodies a Caribbean bohemian vibe where you can come barefoot with salt in your hair. The place for Barbecue fans! The restaurant, planted firmly in the sand, is decorated in shades of blue to pay homage to the waters of the Caribbean Sea and the Atlantic Ocean that embrace the island. Tie-dyes and indigo blends are mixed with raw denim and fabrics with topical coral prints, as well as faded blue cashmere to harmonize with the white sands and green palm trees. Comfortable banquettes and large assorted pillows accent rough-hewn furniture and wood with a saltwater glaze to create a chic, relaxed ambiance that makes you feel far from reality. Almost everything is made on the BBQ! Roasted, smoked, grilled, or braised… from appetizers to dessert, almost everything here is made on the barbecue: grilled avocado salad, jerk chicken with an authentic Jamaican flavor, catch of the day and lobsters on the grill, smoked rib roast, braised vegetables with za’atar spices, aioli and candied lemons… Desserts also come from the grill: pineapple roasted with rum, caramelized bananas, charred local fruit, XXL cookies baked in the coals… A simple, chic cuisine based on locally sourced and seasonal ingredients. At the Rum Bar, the mood is festive and casual. The DJ mix might include an old calypso as well as the hottest summer hits with a Caribbean twist, while the barman shakes up his best signature cocktail!
