The beach in Saint Jean is without doubt one of the most beautiful beaches on the island, along with Flamands.   It is divided into two parts, separated by the Eden Rock hotel.   The larger part to the left, is close to the airport runway, and visitors enjoy watching the aerial ballet of the small planes.   The beach in St Jean to the right of Eden Rock is smaller and the water is generally very calm. Appreciated for its unspoiled beauty and peacefulness, this is one of the few beaches on the island that feels like a private paradise.   Access is via a narrow path that leads over a dune and down to the sand as the beach opens up before you. The beach of Colombier is one of the zones protected by the marine park of St Barthélemy, where the mooring of all boats is regulated. The beach is accessible by foot via two different paths, one starting from Colombier, the other from Flamands, from where the hike is pleasant and accessible. Either path is a great way to discover the natural beauty of the island and one of the most beautiful beaches of St Barthélemy. The beach in Lorient is a lovely beach for families, shaded in the morning by traditional sea grapes. It is ideal for swimming or beach games for kids, and the northern end of the beach has a series of small natural pools that allow even the youngest kids to splash in shallow water. The transparence of the water allows for long swims beyond the fishing boats anchored here as well as the exploration of underwater flora and fauna.
